Chocolate Chip Banana Bars

Ingredients

  • 2 c all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 g softened butter
  • 2/3 c sugar
  • 2/3 c brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 g of ripe banana, crushed (about 2 bananas)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 c chocolate chips

Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl. Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in a large bowl until creamy. Add bananas and eggs to the butter mixture and whisk until mixed. Gradually add the flour mixture, and whisk until well combined. Add chocolate chips. Spread the mixture in a greased skillet 9 x 13 (or 10 x 15). Bake for 20-30 minutes or until the wooden toothpick cleans in the middle. Quite cool. If desired, sprinkle powdered sugar (I put a little in a strainer and shake it over the cake, just sprinkle it a little). Cut into bars. Enjoy!!
