Homemade Flour Tortillas

“Traditional tortilla bread – homemade and much better than the store purchased. Do not replace vegetable oil or shorten grease. ”

Ingredients
4 cups multi-use flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons grease
1 1/2 cup water

Directions
1 Whisk flour, salt, and baking powder together in a mixing bowl. Mix the grease with your fingers until the flour resembles cornmeal. Add water and mix until the dough is homogeneous. Place it on the flour flour surface and knead a few minutes until it becomes smooth and flexible. Divide the dough into 24 equal pieces and wrap each piece in a ball.
2 Preheat a large skillet over medium heat. Use a fine, fine pin to wrap the dough ball into a thin, round tortilla. Put it in the hot pan and cook until it becomes champagne and gold. Stir and continue to cook until golden on the other side. Place the cooked tortilla in the tortilla heater; continue to roll and cook the remaining dough.
